Substance Abuse Evaluation
Common Road To Recovery provides substance abuse assessment for individuals ordered by the court or for individuals who voluntarily desire an assessment on their own. Our assessments use the latest DSM-V criteria and are recognized as valid by the State of Iowa court system as well as the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Common Road To Recovery may occasionally find that a client is better suited for treatment at another facility. Common Road To Recovery maintains contacts with a vast network of hospitals and clinics as well as consumer organizations with further resources like the Office of Consumer Affairs. Should treatment elsewhere be indicated, Common Road staff make every effort to provide multiple options to the client for consideration.
Substance Abuse Treatment
Common Road to Recovery provides individual therapy sessions based on client needs. In addition to standard treatment modalities, the staff at Common Road have world wide experience and each client’s cultural and educational background are considered when developing treatment plans to provide the most effective treatment possible.
Common Road to Recovery provides family therapy sessions based on client needs. Substance abuse is a condition which affects the entire family unit. Attendance of special sessions tailored to help family members of the person undergoing substance abuse treatment can help the family understand chemical dependency and become members of the recovering alcoholic or addict’s support network.
Common Road offers therapy in a group environment for clients who are suited to group therapy. Group therapy may be attended in conjunction with individual therapy or by itself depending on a specific individual’s treatment plan.
Common Road to Recovery is one of the only treatment providers in the area to offer a comprehensive e-therapy program. We understand that there may be barriers to treatment attendance, and will work out a plan for you to be able to complete treatment by accessing appointments over the telephone or online.
